Hi, I’m Rae of Sunshine & Wellness Nutrition. I am an Associate Nutritionist, registered with the Association of Nutrition. I am passionate about food, nutrition and helping people to improve their physical and mental health and prevent ill health.

Having had my own journey through obesity and mental ill health, I enjoy helping clients with weight loss and mental health. I also work with clients in general health improvement, supporting, reversing, or preventing type II diabetes, lowering cholesterol levels, and PCOS.

I have always had a passion for food and have spent many years working in and around food, in restaurants, cafes, bakeries and as a chef. However, I began my journey into health, nutrition and wellbeing after having my son. Before this I had many unhealthy habits and feelings towards myself. I struggled with my mental health, confidence and my self-worth were defined by how I looked and what the scales said.

As a mum, I wanted to lead a healthy lifestyle and be a role model for my son. I worked on myself to implement healthy habits in eating and self-care. I improved physical health through the gym, kettlebells and running. I undertook a BSc in Psychology and complimented this with a MSc in Nutrition and Behaviour learning evidence based coaching techniques to help others improve in the right way for them.

I believe life is a journey and we should continue to grow and learn, I hope to pass on my knowledge to you as a client as others have to me. I hope to continue to learn by helping others. I don’t expect you to need my help forever but hope that we can work together to improve your journey.

As well as seeing clients 1 to 1, I teach Nutrition at East Sussex College Hastings with courses in Nutrition and Wellbeing, Nutrition for over 50s and Nutrition Through the Menopause.

I also run fitness classes for mums and provide simple healthy recipes with food to those undergoing food poverty for local charity Education Futures Trust. I have completed a level 3 in pre and post-natal exercise training and nutrition to further benefit this.

If you would like to work with me, please look at my services and get in touch for a free phone chat to see if I can help.
